FRANCESCA ROSE MORALES

I, Francesca (Frankie) Morales (born 2001, New York, United States), am a queer Chilean Italian filmmaker and storyteller based in New York. My journey in the world of cinema began at Wesleyan University, where I pursued a double major in Film Studies and English. I poured my heart and soul into my studies, culminating in the production of my senior thesis film, "Hollowed Out," which received honors from the Wesleyan Film Department.

Inspired by visionaries such as David Lynch, Agnès Varda, Sofia Coppola, and Céline Sciamma, I tend to infuse my work with their profound storytelling and visual aesthetics.

As a queer individual of Chilean and Italian descent, I find profound resonance in themes of alienation, otherness, loneliness, identity, and the universal yearning for connection. These themes serve as a rich tapestry for my storytelling, reflecting the complexities of the human experience.

Beyond filmmaking, I am a multi-faceted individual with diverse interests. In my free time, you can find me rock climbing, strumming my guitar, immersing myself in the ethereal sounds of shoegaze music, indulging in cinematic masterpieces, playing soccer, and delving into the world of intricate LEGO sets.

If you're interested in collaborating, have questions about my work, or simply want to connect, please feel free to reach out. I'm always eager to exchange ideas and explore new creative ventures.
